Welcome to my first post. The topic name has probably got you wandering, this is the nomination stage of the [b:c8196e1823]FIRST ANNUAL BUZZSAW ENTERTAINMENT AWARDS FOR EXCELENCE IN THE FIELD OF COMPUTER GAMING[/b:c8196e1823]. This post is really to give an example of how to cast your nominations.
Also it should be said that I want no response posts here, I want no so WHAT DID YOU CHOOSE THAT GAME FOR posts in here, I want no feeling incredulous at people's choices. Please do any discussion in the [url=http://compsandcons.jconserv.net/viewtopic.php?t=495]Buzzsaw Discussion[/url] topic.
So lets get started, all the below award catergories are, the awards(duh!), you should only put one game in your nominations for each catagory & and you don't need to put a nomination in each catagory.
Just so ya know I am president of Buzzsaw Entertainment this award is run by me alone.

After "disscussion" with the GR's "associates" I have added award number 14

As an aside the best game award is the grand prize of the ceremony the winner will be the game that gets the most awards!

Did you make this up or is a big event? Just want to get that clear first? (EDIT: Yes, it is just you, you added it to your first post). Oh, and you should have "best game" (EDIT: You've said that that is the one with the most overall votes, so I will remove my vote for that) and you have two number 3s (EDIT: you appear to have fixed this now). Do they have to be from the last year?

1)Graphics: X3: Reunion. Ermm, wow!
2)Sound: Half Life 2: Everything just sounds right.
3)Story: Half Life 2 Maybe a bit old, but the storyline is so well written. Everything just fits together really well.
4)Character: [color=red:1a3f4ee147]Barney, HL2[/color:1a3f4ee147] - comedy and just a cool guy.
5)Music: [color=red:1a3f4ee147]X3[/color:1a3f4ee147] again, each sector has it's own music that suits it really well. here are LOADs of tracks.
6)Remakes: I don't tend to play remakes, most my games are origionals or sequals.EDIT: Just remembered [color=red:1a3f4ee147]HL: Source[/color:1a3f4ee147]! It's the best remake I know, but it still isn't very good.
7)Innovation: [color=red:1a3f4ee147]HL2[/color:1a3f4ee147] again, so many new things brought to the genre. Though [color=orange:1a3f4ee147]The Movies[/color:1a3f4ee147] is aso meant to be excellent (I really should get that).
Expansion: [color=red:1a3f4ee147]Counter Strike (Source)[/color:1a3f4ee147] - very good onlin game.
9)Licence: Haven't played licenced games recently, but from what I've been hearing, it's probably [color=red:1a3f4ee147]King Kong[/color:1a3f4ee147].
10)Landscape: [color=red:1a3f4ee147]X3[/color:1a3f4ee147], everywhere has it's own individual look and feel, which is a great acheivement for a space sim. Technically not a landscape (it isn't land), but I think it counts.
11)Historical: [color=red:1a3f4ee147]Rome: Total War[/color:1a3f4ee147]. They used it on a "historical" TV program, enough said.
12)Worst: How should I know?
13)Acting: [color=red:1a3f4ee147]Half Life 2[/color:1a3f4ee147] has great voie acting.
14)Gameplay: [color=red:1a3f4ee147]X3[/color:1a3f4ee147] - Trade, Fight, Build, Think. Says it all really.

As you can probably tell, I don't have a very wide selection of games. That or I am just blown away by two particular games .

I've just thought, you missed out one of the most important fields - gameplay. I think that is the most important part of a game, who cares if it's graphics are cr*p if the game is awesome? And would you buy a cr*p game just because it looked pretty?

12)Worst Game Ever: Ok. Ummmm. R-Type (so hard its impossible to get past level 5 and theres 23 levels!)
13)Best Voice Acting: Not many of my games have voices! I do my own.

Umm could you add (maybe ion the next version) a poll for like a best in catagory? like best racing game or best FPS and stuff. Just though it mite make it more interesting is all......

10)Best Landscaping: Halo 3 (Ive played the beta, and Ive seen what theyve done so far in videos, gonna be good)
11)Historically Acurrate: Medal of Honour (pretty much one of the few games Ive played that could be)

14)Best Gameplay: Pokemon (any of the games tbh)
