Unreal Engine 3 is going to be excellent! It's one of the most advanced game engines out there at the moment. But the best thing about it is that PhysX support is built right in to it. This means that any Unreal Engine 3 game released will more than likely have the PhysX API at work. PhysX works on both software and hardware. Obviously, you'll greatly benefit from using the dedicated PPU hardware.

Not only that, they've apparantly been working on the Unreal 4 engine for the past two years!

Though we won't be seeing any games using that for a long time. Apparently, they intend to make Unreal Engine 3 last until at least 2012.

I'd heard about the new Aliens game, in fact apparently there are several in production. I didn't know that they were using the Unreal 3 engine though.

Interesting, I'd swear some of those games had been cancelled.

Games can be revived you know, like the Sam and Max series.

Yeah, but I hadn't heard of them being revived.
