I thought we had a thread for this game, but it seems we don't. The game is looking really promising (and I get an awesome tingly feeling when I watch the trailers).

The first trailer I saw on this:

Watch this video on Youtube.

An extended version of the first trailer:

Watch this video on Youtube.

Conspiracy:

Another trailer:

Watch this video on Youtube.

An example of ways you can play the game:

Personally I really love the music and the atmosphere. Anyone else interested in this game?

32 views and no replies? :(

For those interested, here's a Youtube video of the music from the first trailer:

Watch this video on Youtube.

The developers released the music on their website ages ago after popular demand, but sadly the link to download it has since broken.

The best thing about this game is when people call it "Due Sex"

I'm pretty much of that opinion also

I used to call something similar to that and then some 6th former on the school bus years ago corrected me (he got irritated at me always calling it Doose Ex).

And the game has gone gold and is on target for release: http://www.pcgamer.com/2011/07/27/deus-ex-human-revolution-has-gone-gold/

I believe the next issue of PC Gamer has a review of it.

Come to think of it I could really have showed you some of the game met, not much if any of that demo was spoilerific.

True, I hadn't thought of that. Then again, I've avoided footage of the leaked press-preview build just in case. ><

The PC Gamer UK review: 94%

"A dark, cool and beautiful revival of an incredible game. Smart, substantial, funny, creative, and endlessly entertaining."

I've been hearing a lot of positive stuff about this, not much negative.

RPS has a review here (I haven't read it).

I skipped to the last paragraph in case of spoilers:

Quote:
The most interesting parts can’t be discussed here, because they’re yours to discover. And really, discover them you should. Despite its obvious visual console shackles, this is a game that remembers what PC games were once all about, and honours them. It’s a refreshing reminder of what games can be in the current swamp of six-hour follow-em-up shooters, and stands shoulders, chest and waist above. When games get close to the glory of Looking Glass, our expectations can rise extremely high. That Deus Ex: Human Revolution meets so many of them is a remarkable feat.

I've finally finished playing through this excellent game. According to Steam it took me 37.2 hours which sounds about right. I highly recommend it. :)

I'm thinking of buying this for somebody as a gift :) sounds like it will be money well spent, even if I don't get to talk to them for almost 2 days LOL!

Well I've been playing it in stages in the evening since the Saturday before last, so it depends on whether or not they play it obsessively without sleep. :P
