Me an my housemate have been playing this with my housemate and was wondering if anyone wanted to join us for messing about and some of the harder dungeons and raids.

Anyway, it's a "freemium" fantasy RPG based (obviously) on DnD. It's got a bit of a hack and slash feel to it aswell (a bit like Titan Quest, if you've played that). We started playing it after seeing these videos by TotalBiscuit:


As for the freemium model, I think it works quite well (and is honestly what mainly attracted me to play it, along with the desire to play a slashy RPG). You can see the 3 different levels here. A VIP account has a subscription fee, but has all content unlocked. If you stop subscribing or you're a free account that purchases "Turbine points" you become a premium account, which doesn't have all the content unlocked, but can unlock content by spending Turbine points. The amount of quests that are free in the early game is quite large, don't know about the late game. A free account has a couple of limitations on it, but nothing major (2 character slots and limited money, but the limit is high, AFAIK).

If you want to join us, we're on server "Orien". We already have a cleric and a rogue, so we could do with a paladin/fighter/barbarian, but anything is useful. So we do, forgot about that, been a busy year. Also, it's now properly free in the UK too (admittedly that's just cos they closed all the servers except the US ones - you can get free character transfers I believe).

Anyway, if you still fancy giving it a go, pop on the Orien server ^^
