I'm sure you're all aware Steam is now available on the Mac and there are rumours of it for Linux, well:

Can't actually find where they got this from, they might have asked themselves or something. Take it with pinch of salt.

The Daily Telegraph is not just some tabloid, so I would treat it as genuine until Valve deny it.

Yeah, the only issue is they may have been misled by all the rumors flying around. It's a bit odd if they're the first publication with confirmation.

Sounds like some misinformed tech writer, who doesn't really know what they're talking about.

It was theorised a while back. I wrote that, haven't seen it actually confirmed atm but would be nice if it was.

There are pages and downloads for Linux on the Steam page AFAIK. They don't work straight off, but some people have tweaked them to work. It would make sense, tbh, once things are ported to the Mac it's probably fairly easy to port them to Linux.
