Reserved.

I'll post when I get home from work - I have a lift outside.

Update:

I may pretty soon be the proud re-owner of a Sega Dreamcast complete with Broadband adapter and Phantasy Star Online Ver. 2.

My last Dreamcast system died. Apparently they have a tendency to just break according to the friendly fellow from R Games in Gloucester. I was just talking to him about how it broke, and how I've been feeling a little nostalgic recently, and that I was upset about not having the console to play on any more. He told me not to worry because he has a brand spanking new one that I can buy.

Phantasy Star Online Ver. 2. Well, that's a funny one. My mate has the disc at the moment with my broken console also, but I have a feeling the disc was pretty roughed up when I last had it 3 or 4 years ago. I've put in an insanely high bid on a copy of this on Ebay because it's one of the very few copies that I have been able to find, and it appears to be in a good condition, and also comes with the Dreamkey software.

I do still have a good working keyboard for the Dreamcast.

The annoying thing is that the broadband adapter costs £100.

That is all.

GC > DreamCast > PS2 > Xbox

:D

But the Dream Cast rocked. It was doing things the Wii isn't even doing all that time ago with moveable controllers and stuff! It was such a shame it flopped so hard :(

Yes, I became completely obsessed with PSO. I had played the game for over 2000 hours if you combined by PSOv1 and PSOv2 time.

The Gamecube version PSOE1&2 was a huge failure. The keyboard required for chat was non-English, and there was no official GC keyboard, although there were rumours that they would create a controller with a keyboard between the two hand pieces, and several prototypes were released, but it never came to be unfortunately. This ruined the game. PSOE1&2 was a better game than PSOv2 - it had the hacks removed - but the console and peripherals seriously let it down.

Also, PSOv2 was 100% free to play online.

I'm currently playing PSOBB on the PC, connected to the SCHTHACK private server, and it is making me feel good already. I may not go ahead with purchasing the DC, although it is undoubtedly the best console ever created (sorry, I'm not accepting disputes, you can't budge me on this one)... I will still purchase the PSOv2 GD from eBay as it's a future classic. I might get the DC when I have a bit of spare cash just eating its way through my pocket, but for now I might pass. The thing is, I'd need to get the broadband adapter, which is roughly £100 imported from Japan.

Anyway.

I'll keep you updated on this one.
