Well I got this expansion on Friday, and I must say, it's brilliant.

Firstly, the campaign is Nod only, covering the story from just after Tib Sun to after Tib Wars, and it's really hard. I'm on the 4th mission (of 10 or so) and they are attacking you after a minute or so, with you having only a minimal base (PP+Refinery), meaning you have to build up quick. I didn't play that level much, but got slaughtered the first time.

I've completed Global Conquest mode once, as the GDI. It took a good few hours to gain victory, and even the Easy AIs put up a good challenge. Great fun, and I will be playing it again against harder AIs and as Nod or Scrin somepoint soon.

The new units are good, and the Epic units are pretty well thought out. Originally I thought the GDI's super-tank-that-harvests would suck to begin with (and I wanted the MK2 back), but it's actually really good, giving crazy firepower and an awesome economy boost in the late game (or early, if you have one in your GC strike force). Haven't played much with the other ones yet, but they also look fun, and, surprisingly, very different. The new subfactions are good too, though I haven't played much with them. The Steel Talon's Wolverines rule against infantry, and their Titan's are pretty good aswell (need a small boost).

Havent played C&C since well first one, is this just an expansion or like full game?? i loved the ffirst one and have never been able to play it since because our computers were exactly up to the job, but we have a new one and may dad loves these types of games and as we have new computer may get it or rent it and try it out. What specs do i need to run it? how much?

Kane's wrath is the new expansion to Command and Conquer 3: Tiberium Wars. CnC3 will need a fairly good PC to run on, but should run on most modern computers, and if it struggles, the graphics can go down pretty low so that most things can run it.

I would recommend The First Decade as it has every CnC game except CnC3 in it, including expansions (that's 4 2D CnC/Red Alert games + expensions, the CnC FPS and Generals with it's expansion (first 3D CnC)) and is very good value for money (£18 for over 100 hours of singleplayer, I would guess). It will also tell you if you will be able to run TW/KW as Generals runs on pretty much the same game engine.

Tiberium Wars was released early last year, and is a fantastic game if you enjoy RTS, and is the first 3D "true" CnC (Generals was a bit odd, but still a good game). Kane's Wrath adds a fair bit to it, including a very hard campaign (compared to the other campaigns). Story wise Kane's Wrath mostly builds on the story established in the earlier CnC games, especially Tiberium Sun, whereas Tib Wars is more instantly accessible without background knowledge of the series.
