You do get hackers, but nowhere near anything like CSS. Flaming is rare, you get the odd "damn crit rocket" but nothing bad. The skill on TF2 is a much more easy to acquire than on CSS. It's basically knowing you class and moving well.

Yeah... I got a heavy ealier as an Engy by simply moving around him Turrets arent so good against Scouts if they have cover... Dam things ¬¬

I got some awesome combos earlier, Ubers etc... Soldier and Medic are fast becoming my favourite/best classes....

Yeah, Heavies are quite easy to kill if you get up close and circle them, or simply attack with 2 people. A pyro will own a heavy if you can get close without being spotter, or have enough cover to get there.

Bone Saw looks like the best melee weapon in the game... The Spy's knife is actually the weakest head on, so if you are a decent medic you can take out Spies easily in that regard... I just hope the Medic gets a more decent primary weapon! Coz the modified flechette launcher sucks *** XD

The needlegun is pretty decent for what is meant to be a healer, not an attacker.

The bonesaw is the most powerful Melee weapon, excluding the knife, after the fists, wrench and shovel. It has the highest crit ratio of any weapon. This is from the official stats.

Thats not necessarily true... The knife is the weakest melee weapon head on. From behind its an insta-kill.

I'm pretty sure the bone saw is the most powerful Melee weapon... Remember, that particular graph is avergae damage per hit per weapon. Heavies may just tend to hit more often. Or hit from behind etc...

And yeah, the bonesaw does get many many crits... its abotu 1 in 4 in my experience, and on there they have around 1 in 5 or 1 in 6 for crits... I did think the Sniper rifle would be higher on that list as head shots are crits....

I loved the maps at the bottom tho, they were very interesting. Especially the 2fort one... Interesting rotational symmetry on it.

That's why I said excluding the knife, not after.

If you think about sniper rifles, they only crit when it's a HS. Therefore that says 1 in 20 attacks (not hits) are headshots. Which would mean the other 19 are bodyshots or misses, which is fair enough, considering that not everyone is skilled as a sniper, and some fire off lots of potshots.

The deathmaps are always good to look at. These stats exist for all the HL2 games, aswell, I think.

Well it's just less than 6%. Remember, a lot of those will be people who can't HS going for the HS achievement and snipers who choose to fire more rapidly and not aim. I have seen snipers use their rifle noscope aswell, which doesn't HS.

I swear people hate me more as the spy, but I suck as anything else. And I tend to suck as the spy too.

People always hate spies, especially good ones! It's the nature of dying there one the spot! And you usually do really well as a spy, I have seen you at the top of a leaderboard before, and strung together a massive kill streak, anihilating the enemy. And you're good with other classes too. You're always too harsh on yourself. :/

The massive kill streaks only happen when the enemy team fail to notice their whole advance is being backstabbed.


I am rather harsh on myself sometimes, but that is only because if you are not, then other people will upset you by being harsh towards you.


And I do think people hate me being a spy especially, partly because I have a habit of laughing crappy laughs like a loony down my mic whilst doing so.

Isn't the spies job to do it unnoticed?

Anyway, spies, along with snipers, are universally hated because they tend to my you magically just die on the spot. Well it is part of the game, though.

Best spy ever... He walked up to my sentry... disguised as a scout... I was shooting with shotgun, because it was obviously a spy.

So, he waited a couple of seconds... then...

He STABBED the sentry gun!

ive realised y i suck as spy. its cos im too used to css and so when i try to knife i use right click, which dsnt kill. this means i cant kill stuff, bt in fact jst cloak again, so the opportunity passes or i get noticed and killed

True! The thing is, TF2 doesn't actually consider the RMB as a secondary fire, you can individually bind each action associated with it, so you could change cloak to a key, if you wanted.

bt with most things it will improve with practise.
