Well you know who Barney is (the guy pretending to be a metrocop at the beginning). We don't see him in Ep2 and his absence is not explained.

Gunships are those organic looking flying things, you fight quite a few after you get the car in HL2, and you fight one in Ep1, but you don't in Ep2 (you see a couple flying with a load of combine).

Metrocops are just the rubbish enemies in HL2, the ones with the white masks and black suits. In HL2 you fight them up till Nova Prospekt (after the car section). They don't appear in Ep2, but they suck, so it doesn't matter.

TF2 - I've been going for the hardcore achievement on TF2 recently (get 1000 kills), I'm 70% of the way there, and it's great fun! I must say, TF2 is a really good multiplayer game, it doesn't originally look it, but it's crazy. I also think they've got the class diversity just right, as every class has it's own counter and playstyle.

I was going for the basic use every character for a whole game thing. Got quite far into the healing one and done quite a bit on the sniper headshot one too. Thats as far as I got so far. For the kills I think I got around a 100ish. Though I havent played it all that much only for like 4 or 5 hours I think. If even that.

Yeah, I did the Head of the Class one in one sitting, I just changed every round making sure I'd got the previous one added. Quite a few of them are just time based, like kills (85% now) and healing. Flamethrower and Sentry Gunner generally require a bit of luck on where you are.

Flamethrower one seems like it would be a pain in the ass really. Need to set 5 people on fire within 30 seconds?

Would probably need one of those defending point things and to just rush with the ubercharge on from a medic.

I did it by accident. Just find a big server and rush forward to a group of people. You only need to set them on fire, not kill them. I did it on one of the TC_Hydro sections with a bottleneck.

I don't really like the flamer guy much, their good for taking out weak stuff like scouts, snipers, spys ect.. but when a medic is healing somone its like a complete waste of time.

Actually, they're pretty good, you've gotta get right up into their face, though. Also, fire damage is quite considerable for some time, so you may get a lot of "late" kills.

You entirely miss the point again... When a medic is healing is basically does nothing..

When you're up close the medic doesn't heal fast enough, I always just spray everywhere anyway, hitting the medic aswell, often killing it. Quite good at causing panic.

I was just playing as Pyro and I was enjoying it considerably, watching all those spies burn and then running headlong in sudden death, killing 5 people completely unaware before dying.

I have tried up close and stood there in the guys face plasting with the flamethrower. I was dead and he didn't die because of the medic :/

Though I was more on about generally setting them on fire does little in that case. Especially if there are alot of enemies around you, you want to set as many on fire as possible not waste your time standing there trying to burn up someone who is being healed.

True, if they are being healed you don't stand a chance of killing them from burn damage. Then again, the medic is usually nearby and you can burn them first. I have actually found that the flamethrower puts out huge damage, it can take out anyone pretty quick, including heavies.

I got this on the 360 on Friday... And have completed Portal and Ep 1 already. Ive started Ep 2 but im stuck on some batty acid antlions ¬¬ And i have basically no health :(

TF2 sucks on the 360 though... eally really badly... Portal is awesome, as are the "main games". Only room I got uber confused on was number 18... that took me a long time to work through. But i loved the way they challenged you differently every room you went into. I thought the final boss was very cool too! I thought it was going to be much harder though :/

I can understand TF2 sucking on 360... 16 players max, and that's the lower limit before TF2 breaks down balance wise. Plus everything I've heard suggests people are noobs and can't run a decent server.

Yeah, 18 was probably the most difficult level, 19 was more about reflexes. Have you done the challenges/advanced maps yet? I really suggest you try the advanced maps, they're really tough, and require thought and skill.
The boss was pretty easy, but incredibly fun and really inventive for a boss.
Also, if custom levels work on the 360, there are some really nice ones out there.

Oh, and the acidlions are really really annoying, especially when they sneak up on you. Gives you a massive shock! Magnum and shotgun own them though. If they're a distance away, just put a magnum shot into them.

Anyway, in recent TF2 escapades, I've been playing the pyro a lot recently, I'm pretty good with it now. I can kill a heavy without taking damage (if I can get to him without getting hit). Level one sentries die pretty well, as the fire burns the sentry, dispenser and engineer all at once. Level 2 and above are annoying, though, too much knockback means I can't get close enough. If I can drop in I can usually take them though. Soldiers and other good pyros always seem to get the better of me, though.

Ah, cool. Shame it's not for PC though, we can't play TF2 with you! Still, you'll get to enjoy the awesomeness of Portal!

as for the orange box, v v v gd.

portal, tis fun, and i dont see how they can maek it  bt its gd.

bt as 4 hl2e2 im finding tht a bit of a dissapointment, more money on the same thing as HL2 and HL2e1, true tht means its amazing, bt i personally feel it should have more.

stolen 360 idea on awards, a fantastic idea btw. after all, nothing is better than beating a challenge ;).

and tf2 is enjoyable, not as gd as css bt more fun when lots of friends are playing. it reminds me of TS2.

Portal is just awesome, don't get what you mean by "dont see how they can make it"?

Yeah, Ep2 is more of the same, but who cares, it's just more value for money, and it's certainly not a bad game. There have been numerous engine improvements, aswell, including AI. I found the whole game very enjoyable, and think that it was a good length, if it was longer we'd have to wait more or they'd lower the quality.

Well, seeing as they had to make achievements for the 360 version anyway, they decided to put them on Steam. Soon, TF2 updates will use (new) achievements to unlock extra (not more powerful, but different) weapons. Each class will have 2 unlocks and 36 achievements, with one weapon being unlocked at 18 and the other at 36. First up is the medic, and it's first unlock is a medigun replacement that can heal up to 100% health buff (rather than 50%) that doesn't drop over time, but it isn't very good at ubercharge, perhaps even no uber at all.

TF2 = awesome! I've played it loads!

Nope, cross console/PC compatibility doesn't exist (well, it does, but it's very rare).

DHR has Orange box for 360, but also has TF2 on PC to play with us.

Yeah, its sexy on both!

Ive met some very approachable people on the 360. Its really good fun to play with people you can get on with like that. Its simply brilliant.

Completed Ep2 now, going back through HL to try and get the rest of the achievements :) Apparently ive scored moe than 40% of my total achievements across all my games O.o

I got stuck on the shooting the ball though the hoop one, but i got a fluke in the end! Very interesting too about the singing Vortiguant! he doesnt really sing tho :?

I think TF2 attracts a very fun kind of player. The style of it means that most people who think (ie pretend) they are serious gamers will hate it, and these are the kinda of annoying people you get all the time. If that makes sense.

Congrats on those achievements, but I expect you to get atleast 90%!
