Just realised that I can fraps in the background on my second account to make this a little easier. Makes me feel like a director lol.

A cartograph time-lapse is definitely something that I can arrange and I agree would be awesome to see!

Update: actually, somebody else can do the cartograph thing. The files are too large for a video really. They require each one to overlay perfectly so just seems like too much work.

I stayed up all night and did some work on the server. Linked up sky castle with arboretum and made it all fancy and stuff.
Also cleaned up loads of water spam... somebody went crazy!

Note that he imported this in to Minecraft as it says in his youtube video description from something else he built. He didn't actually build the entire framework in Minecraft.

Nah, I'm not working on a gif, it's too much hard work. I thought it would be interesting to see how much it grew in a couple of weeks. I'm surprised it's not bigger to be honest! I had no idea that it started out next to the sea in the first place... did somebody move the home spawn point during the very beginning?

I think it just generates a fair chunk of map to start with, if you go through the first few night view ones, you can see where people started due to where the torches show up.

Also, here's something fairly cool that someone's doing in Minecraft: Going East as far as possible, makes a good read, he's on day 12 atm. Here's the start.
