Also, those new Nadeo games could be interesting, but I can't seem to find any info past the names.

Not much was said aside from
TM2 beta 2010 Q4
SM beta 2011 Q1
QM beta TBA

TM2 is the standard affair
SM is a FPS with an editor like the one in TM
QM is an RPG with an editor like the one in TM

The editor will be the same apparently, the players, the same apparently, all of it the same with three different genres.

that's all we know.

Games in 3D is nothing new, I'm pretty sure you can do Crysis in 3D if you have the nVidia 3D kit.

Isn't the Kinect itself just two webcams?

Games being developed with 3D in mind and after-added 3D effect is going to make a slight difference.

Also LOL@3DS third party support, more 3rd party game that are good than the wii has in total already? Also FUCK YEAH NEW DONKEY KONG <3<3<3<3

The thing about games is that it doesn't matter if they're developed with 3D in mind, they are inherently 3D, just rendered in 2D. The nVidia tech is pretty much perfect 3D.

Films do matter as you can't convert a 2D image to a 3D one well, so they have to be filmed in 3D.

EDIT: 3DS stuff:

Top screen is 3D (and looks widescreen), does not require glasses. Apparently the effect fails if you're not head on, so I'm guessing either head tracking or double screen splitting (prism stuff).
3D is adjustable via slider.
There's an analogue stick, apparently for adjusting the 3D viewpoint slightly, though I would imagine that was just a report from the limited demo, hopefully it will be a fully usable stick.
Much more powerful (reports are saying Wii level).
3 cameras (2 outside, one inside), can take 3D images with outside cameras.
Can play 3D movies.
Awful 2 tone colour scheme.
Some other stuff about wireless and updates.
Launch title is a Kid Icarus game.

Fairly decent overall. Plenty of info around, I got mine from Kotaku and Gizmodo.

The trailers for Star Wars: The Old Republic look epic to be honest.

If only Star Wars made just an entire movie with CGI of that quality...

Little addition to my previous post:

I've read a bit more about the 3D on the 3DS and there are a lot of mentions of a "perfect distance" and "double images" at non-perfect distances. The double images confirms it is not head tracking, and the perfect distance supports my theory that it is based on dual screen splitting with prisms. This kind of technology is quite simple, you've all seen those plastic holographic card things, and it's much the same as those. What it does is produce 2 images and attempt to send one image to one eye through the use of prisms. It results in a very tight viewing angle for 3D (too far and you won't see the second image) and a lack of distance control (too close and you will see both sides of each prism with each eye, too far and it's a similar effect).

All in all, a decent technology for glassesless 3D tech and quite suitable for a handheld (due to the single user head on at a pretty regulated distance), but not groundbreaking and very limited. There's a reason we use the glasses based 3D tech on everything else.

Launch title is a kid icarus title yeah. Now the other list of games already in DEVELOPMENT? Is probably one of the biggest OMGWTFWOW lists ever

You can also find screenshots for all games on IGN, and beleive me, the graphics are no slouch(The Resident Evil shots are Pre-Rendered BUT real time, SF IV probably shows off the best capabilities along with MGS)
Also, hardware is fully capable of MSAA, so no jaggies(even though with 3D, that isn't really an issue)

I guess, though the black looks really out of place seeing as the entire rest of the console is another colour. Atleast they have an all black version. Probably didn't help that the first one I saw was turquoise.

That game list is pretty impressive, could be an interesting system.

As for Portal 2, that's a cool trailer. Also interesting to see Valve embrace the PS3, I noticed he mentioned openness, which implies Sony are giving them more freedom to do things their way than MS are. I'd guess that is connected to auto updates, space limits and such.

That gameplay, the painted surfaces are from Tag: The power of Paint. Except we only saw red and blue, and the blue had the function of green in tag (bouncing). I thought I'd heard that these guys had been hired.

Yes they were.

Some info:

Coop: http://kotaku.com/5564469/playing-portal-2-for-science
New stuff: http://kotaku.com/5564421/portal-2-detailed-for-science

---------------------------

OK, just been through the gameplay videos and here are the new elements (that are shown, noticeably when he's talking about the paint stuff, he implies there are more), I think I got them all.

Light holder beam. Holds stuff inside it, goes through portals. Stuff inside moves away from the source.
Fling plates. Fling stuff into the air.
Laser. Can be used to destroy turrets, can also activate set switches. Goes through portals and can be controlled by special cubes.
Air tube. Sucks objects in, quite powerful, destroys walls aswell. Can have an exit. Works through portals.
Blue paint. Makes you jump a lot. No splattered paint goes through portals.
Orange paint. Makes you go super fast.

There's also this personality sphere companion.

Play Tag if you want to give that stuff a go, it looks pretty much the same. The game is free to download here. It's a bit short, but good.

And, for those interested, some more Dead Space 2 footage. Isaac is suffering from a 'unique form of dementia' apparently. I doubt it explains the monsters trying to tear his face off, but perhaps the monsters explain the dementia.
