Well I assumed you meant without needing a headband of some description, which wouldn't work. That one works by detecting slight variations in the brain's electrical current (I think) across the 3 diamond shaped things and it knows what this means (may need a bit of training). It works quite well, though not as accurate (sometimes gets it wrong) as a good old kb/mouse (seeing as it's for a computer).
