It loks likely to be a boss possibly. Would of been better if they had written it as the Pokemon Trainer fighting it however...

Today was items from previous Smashes. However, i was more interested in the Clock in this image:

As we havent seen this item yet in any other update...Or in any videos. Nice to see some changes to the Home Run Bat and Beam Sword though. I hope they keep their amazing "throw knockback". When you throw an item (or punch), the character it hits get a certain amount of "Knockback". The Baseball bat an Sword had massive amounts of this in Melee, so much so you could score KO's with the items being thrown more or less right across the arena :D

Grey Fox AT was the update today:

If any of you have played Metal gear Solid, you will recognise this guy as "The Ninja". He was also known as "Deepthroat" and acted pretty much like Metaknight does in Kirby games. Fighting you to make sure you are upto the challenges ahead...Bar from the fact some chaff grenades can immobolise him ;)

He then comes in and helps u fight Metal Gear Rex. He shoots off its Radome and then gets sliced in half by a lazer, then crushed under one of Rex's feet...

In this however, he simply slices u up a bit...and deflects enemy projectiles. Pretty cool :D

Yeah lol forgot that...Seems so integral to gameplay though. Its fairly sitautional in its use tbh. U only have limited Grab range (Other than Samus, who's grab is huge because of her Suit enhancements) and most grabs to fairly little damage. Kirby grabs are the best known and used for "Kirbycide" tactics. You grab them and then with the down throw, plummet of the edge of the stage still holding them XD If the last life, the opponent dies milliseconds before kirby crosses the "KO" line....

And hes called "Deepthroat" because of his voice (which is deep) and he uses a burst transmission because he is inside the base at the time...complicated, but not dodgy.

I guess if you could master the grab you could pull of some pretty good attacks, though I'm no SSB expert.

Anyway, Friday was a stage we've all seen and today was Ike's Final Smash.

Its the "Lava" level....Every game so far has had a level where lava has risen and fallen again (Brinstar and Planet Zebes in SSB and SSBM respectively). It looks pretty interesting tbh...

Today was the revealment of Ike's Final Smash. Not that we haven't seen it in action or anything :lol:

Just like MetaKnights, it seems very powerful, but very liable to miss if u dont connect with that first strike....

Its initial hitbox is small, like Metaknights, but when he hits the floor its a massive explosion.

Anyway, waited till now because the forum was screwing itself over again earlier in the week.

Tuesday we had more information on Taunts by different people.

Many people's Taunts are shown. They have no battle ability (Except for Luigi's in Melee which did 1% damage and was a Meteor Smash). They are really used just after You've smashed someone off the edge of the stage.

Wednesday brought back Handicaps, but in a much different way. I never really understood Handicaps in SSB or in Melee. However the new system seems much easier to understand.

As you can see here, Lucas starts with a 50% damage handicap. This is probably the most useful mode. Setting different people to different damage setting based on ability would definitly be a brilliant way to equal playing styles. I'd go as far to say from 0% all over, I could beat pretty much anyone on the forum, but with a 50% (Or higher) setting, It would be a very close match overall....

Today we had some Music and a full update of Metaknights B Moves.

Which can lead into Gliding across the stage. Gliding is also new for Brawl, currently only Pit, Metaknight and Charizard can do it...

He also has his amazing cape which he can use to teleport a short distance:

This moves seems one of his best, being able to instantly dodge and attack from behind...Currently, MetaKnight looks one of the strongest and best all round characters....

Well MK's moves certainly seem interesting. I like the idea of being able to appear behind someone.

As for handicap, that's always good. I think the old handicap system would have made your attacks weaker or something else to that effect.

im not looking at updates now cus i want some of this game to be a surprise. so i havent looked at any pics or read any of the comments above, this however doesnt stop me speculating. I do know however that we havent had a new character update for a while. The last one if i remeber correctly was King Dedede, i wasnt really happy about this update i didnt feel he suited the game and would have made a much better boss like petey piranha. His moves however do look intersting hes a mix of ice climbers and Bowser and for clarification HES A DUCK!! not a penguin!! We have a good mix of veteran fighters returning atm and id like to see more such as Captain Falcon who is obv going to make a return as he is the main character for all F-Zero games which is an important franchise for nintendo. Fire emblem is anotehr important franchise for nintendo we already have Ike as a palyable character (marth and Roy were in melee and tbh they did suck pretty hard, marth more than roy i cant seeing them being brought back) its now time for a new face to make an appearance from this series, there is quite alot to choose from maybe someone with magical based attacks rather than physical? so we get a more varied experiance and hopefully female (we dont want this game to be too male orientated). Old characters id like to seeback would be Jigglypuff as he was in 1st and 2nd game and hopefully will make a return and new pokemon will also join, cus lets face it pichu was nauseatingly irritating and will have been droppped from the roster, mewtwo is well.... OLD, from the 1st gen of the franchise and i think he could be replaced with something from the new generation. Young link will have been dropped as the last game at the tme of melles relased was OOT now it is TP so i think he will be repalced hopefully with Midna as she was a main character and has FS and moveset pratically ready, Ganondorf will make areturn in his new look from TP

An interesting addition at any rate.... Cant be bothered to play? Watch a fully fledged WiFi match. From the above screeny, you can also see betting can be done on who u think is going to win. I might watch a few, to see different fighting styles and such, but ill mostly be fighting! :D

Falcon HAS to return...Ness should be a colour swap of Lucas too... They have essentially the sam moveset... And it would be SO worth it... And Marth and Roy were OK...Marth was just difficult to get used to because you had to keep the enemies at the tip of your sword to do the most damage...

Today was the Ice Climbers Final Smash....

A huge iceberg appears right in the middle of the stage! It does damage and may even freeze some opponents...But the Ice Climbers are completely unaffected :D



And lol Skillers, i didnt get what u meant...But that makes more sense :lol:

Well....after the forum was screwing itself again...

Yesterday was 2 OK updates. Still nothing new however :(

Training was brought back today. Its usually just there to try out new things or to practise a variety of moves without needing a fully fledged battle. I used this on Melee to learn Wave Dashing.

The interesting thing about this shot is the football in the centre... I havent seen this item in any of the videos, so we have no idea what it does. Similar to the clock in that respect...

Training mode is also fun just to mess with the CPU and speed settings etc

These Ike have 999% set, so are VERY easy to kill....

We also had the Smart Bomb released. Weve seen this in a few of the videos, most notably the developers video (Link Vs Sonic).

The bomb has a huge blast radius and covers most of the stage. We also had news that sometimes, bombs and even Electrode fail to explode...

Today we had some Colour Swap pallettes...Now in the last games these seemed to be quite random in how they were done... Now however, game references are being made. Fire Mario, Dark Link and even old Zelda are here. I already personally love Samus' Fusion Suit Colours:

The best bit is, each character has (and I quote) "Around" 6 different colour schemes...So we'll let you decide what you want to see....(Personally, a Ness skin for Lucas would rock :P)
