Hi guys,
My girlfriend is having some problems with Sims 2, specifically the Seasons EP. The weather doesn't work correctly - you can see snow in the neighbours gardens and in the street, but not in the actual property that you are playing in. Although, when your Sims walk outside, the snow effect appears beneath their feet, and they get very cold.
Anybody else experienced this? We have tried uninstalling and installing the EP again, but it has made no difference at all apart from that it deleted our Sims.

Seems like there was a Sims 2 patch available from the official website that appears to have fixed the problem. New problem... no video feed on the TV's, just blackness.

It's quite funny actually... the patch fixed it for a while, then the problem started again. The funny thing about it is that the patch adds another checkbox to the graphics options called "Snow on ground". It doesn't matter whether it is ticked or not, it still doesn't work.

OK that's great, somebody responded! She doesn't have any mods or hacks running, only the latest patch. I'll check out the link that user posted and I'll let you know how it goes. Oh, and obviously my girlfriend has the latest Catalyst driver too!
You might also be interested in knowing that the snow problem has returned and looks like it's going to stay.
Update: Looks like it's a graphics driver problem. Even the latest driver isn't able to fix it. Apparently EA and ATI are aware of the problem. The problem does not affect Nvidia cards it seems. I'll just wait and see what the next driver release does.

Well my laptop has Nvidia and sometimes I'd have that problem, but I had a patch on there coz it is vista, but it didn't really stay, works fine now, and I dont have that problem with it on my big comp.
