Weren't sure to put this here or in the TF2 forum... I thought here would get more attention.

Theres a new TF2 Beta, (http://www.teamfortress.com/post.php?id=4721&p=1) (Steamapp 520). I haven't looked at it because I'm in a lecture, but should I change our server over to the beta for us to try?

Hopefully there will be some good stuff :P :blamesi:

Thanks :) :weebl:

What's this? VALVe are FINALLY getting round to fixing the completely f*cked up class balance issues? About time.

New Spy item, the Mind Controller. The Spy is able to take control of any enemy player for 10 seconds (with a recharge between use time of 30 seconds). The Spy has to be within a certain range of the player, and selects the player from a 'player's within range' list. Replaces cloak. This item comes with the brand new feature to TF2 of always-on friendly fire. Day 3 of the Cosmetic Update. I'm quite obviously joking.

Friendly fire can never be on in TF2. Even VALVe aren't that r*tarded. Miniguns, Flamethrowers, Explosives, not to mention the idiots.... I mean players... that you see on pub spy-check everything that moves or doesn't... no.

As for that idea, it's like Natascha or Sandman. It either works and it's broken+annoying as hell or it's useless.

As for the Beta, my feedback.

Natascha- now useless if the enemy has a Medic, pretty useless even if they don't, in all variations.
Granary- a nice change, but it's still unbalanced between the teams, it's also STILL easily watched and spammed from the same place as the teams always watch so it really doesn't help to break the stalemates that occur in that area, gives a nice way for Soldiers and Demomen to get to the balcony to begin the "awesome aiming" (ie spamming the sh*t out of everything- hi Gozzer!) on the mid point, gives Soldiers more advantages on an already Soldier-dominant map, needs another change really for Scouts to make their moves better
5Gorge- good map just got better, it's a HUGE amount of flanking possibilities with plenty of space for Soldiers/Demomen to spam everything, it actually can even have Snipers doing some stuff on it due to the open areas, I'm loving it
General- it runs much better than the normal game (probs due to less f*cking sh*t (hats) in it), no trading can be done so you don't have 6 r*tards (players) trading instead of actually fighting, it's currently far superior to the current game which is to be honest pretty poor, reg is actually a lot better probably due to the performance is far better and combined with my personal tweaks headshots have yet to fail on me when they should be headshots (whereas in game even with my personal tweaks headshots can sometimes mis-reg but it's 10000000% better with the tweaks than without...)

More changes please VALVe, lets finally fix your mess after god knows how long it's been there.

Anyway, Downloaded but haven't had a chance to play it yet. House mate found he could run it on his laptop a lot better now too. Hopefully CP Coldfront shouldn't lag me out either with the better optimisation. Dunno about the Natascha tweaks, all the suggestions on the TF2 blog don't seem worth it :/ Just decrease the damage or slow down... The medic thing does totally nerf it though.
