Now I like a grind, and spent almost thousands of hours in Freelancer. But since it would take me so long to be l33t on eve, and I cant even out keen people like I did on Freelancer with ma pro' flying skilz, I shall not be playing eve any longer



Me wants a space sim game. With lazers and huge battles.

Heh, considering that Titans are huge alliance warfare motherships, of which only 10 or so existed when I played (probably still <100), that's not the main aim in the game

And anyway, you don't become leet by flying a titan, you learn how to fit a good ship and you spec your character to fit your ship setup and learn to use it properly.

Huge battles - join a corp in a big alliance.

Also, lasers suck, blasters is where it's at.

It's the time based training that turns me off.

I'm playing eve alot (cruisers now baby(battle cruisers + mining barges in less than a week)) and I'm really enjoying the game, I've not really bothered with my own missions, I'm more helping others with theirs then taking the salvage and earning a fortune, I think the best thing about eve though is the "yeah he's griefing you, good look with that" approach that CCP has


and yeah aaron, she is a harsh mistress that one nut it does mean that you "Know" when your going to get things (and with some time spend in EFT you "Know" when you'll be able to fly the damn thing in a useful manner)

So what turns you on, Turn based training?

Probably skill point based or progression based.

subscription games = big no no.

I like being able to make big changes in little time by tipping my foot over the edge of the risk/reward system, going up against insurmountable odds yet somehow coming through much more powerful. More fun too.
