Well in that case here is a hopefully straight forward guide to removing those and at the same time enhancing your experience of Garry's Mod!

Now these errors that you see do in fact represent models that the server has but you do not for Garry's Mod. Most probably this is because the server has addons that you do not (although it could also be because a prop from another game that you do not own has been spawned).

The first step is to find out where your Garry's mod folder is.

It should be something like:

C:\Valve\Steam\SteamApps\%your-steam-username%\Garrys Mod\Garrys Mod\Addons

To clarify, it is NOT:

C:\Valve\Steam\SteamApps\%your-steam-username%\Garrys Mod\Addons

That would be the wrong directory.

The correct addons folder is where, as the name of the folder suggests, you place your addons for Garry's Mod!

Now, the best (and most up-to-date) addons are aquired through using svn.

I myself use Tortoise SVN that you can aquire here:

http://tortoisesvn.net/downloads

The way I understand it, SVN is used by developers to keep their versions up-to-date with each other etc, however the Garry's Mod community also seem to use it for keeping the community up to date with the latest versions of their addons.

Install this (you will most probably need to restart your computer), and then we can proceed to the next phase.

I like to organise my svn downloads so that nothing gets messed up (I'll be more specific on this further down). So, create a folder called 'gmod svn' somewhere, eg:

C:/gmod svn

Within this folder create another one called 'exported', eg:

C:/gmod svn/exported

Now we get on to the parts where you start downloading.

First, create ten folders in your gmod svn folder and name them the following (the links will be explained below):

engine: svn://svn.gmod.de/enginemod
gas: http://tools.assembla.com/svn/lsextension
ls2 rts: http://OpenSVN.csie.org/lsResorceTransitSystems
petrol: http://tools.assembla.com/svn/b9DO4Awyer3lRoabIlDkbG
phx3: https://phoenix-storms.svn.sourceforge. ... nix-storms
rd2: https://svn.wiremod.com/svn/RDistrib2/trunk/RD2/
spacebuild models: http://spacebuildmodelpack.googlecode.c ... PackAlpha2
stargate: https://svn.wiremod.com/svn/stargate/trunk
wiremod: https://svn.wiremod.com/svn/wiremod
wiremod2: https://svn.wiremod.com/svn/wire2
laser: https://svn.madjawa.net/lua/LaserSTOOL

Now, right click on the first folder and select SVN Checkout, and copy and paste the corrosponding link above into the 'URL of repository section'. Then click ok, and let each one finish before beginning on the next folder.

For example, right click on the engine folder, click SVN Checkout, then paste in this into the 'URL of repository' section: svn://svn.gmod.de/enginemod

Some of these will ask for a password. It is always either:

Username: anonsvn
Password: anonsvn

OR

Username: anon
Password: anon

Some of these will take a while to download (especially PHX and Stargate) as they are quite large.

Once these are all downloaded, you then export them. Right click and then go to TortoiseSVN > Export.

Then point it towards your gmod svn/exported folder. Exporting them removes a lot of extra crud that Tortoise SVN uses when it downloads the files (this is what I meant by messed up, often these extra files can double the file size and triple the file count).

Now, you're nearing the end of what you need to do with regards to SVN. Some of these exported folders can be dragged straight into your garrysmod/garrysmod/addons folder, BUT NOT ALL OF THEM.

With stargate and wiremod you will need to go into the folders that were exported and find all the folders with an 'info.txt' in them (they shouldn't be too hard to find). Move those folders into your addons folder.

Then the next stage is to congratulate yourself for succesfully downloading through svn up-to-date addons for Garry's Mod! :D

There's some further addons as well which don't need svn (well, GCombat has an extra that you download through svn, but after following the above tutorial that shouldn't be too hard ;) ).

GCombat: http://garrysmod.org/downloads/?a=view&id=35442
GCombat extended (svn): http://gcombat-extended.googlecode.com/svn/trunk/GCX
Wraith dart: http://garrysmod.org/downloads/?a=view&id=20555
WoTS UFO: http://garrysmod.org/downloads/?a=view&id=15858
Melon Berserk: http://garrysmod.org/downloads/?a=view&id=29773
Melon Hound: http://garrysmod.org/downloads/?a=view&id=28819
Headcrab Canisters: http://www.garrysmod.org/downloads/?a=view&id=48014
Massless Thrusters: http://www.garrysmod.org/downloads/?a=view&id=35933
Massless Thrusters extra: http://www.garrysmod.org/downloads/?a=view&id=41684
Sentry Poser: http://www.garrysmod.org/downloads/?a=view&id=25413
Smart Snap: http://www.garrysmod.org/downloads/?a=view&id=35405
Sound emitter: http://www.garrysmod.org/downloads/?a=view&id=36823
Weight stool: http://www.garrysmod.org/downloads/?a=view&id=19331

Foliage, explosives, grav turret, follow stool and wing stool:

http://www.spcook.co.uk/1_addons.rar

If you got through all of that, then your game client should now be exactly in-line with Si's Garry's Mod server! :D

That should vanquish almost all of the red errors. :)

If we are playing on mobenix_v2 then you will need to download the map.

You can do so here. :)

No no no! Those svn dumps are not the ones I'm after! They've got version 3 of those other addons but that's only because they've recoded them all and it breaks the other addons that use the version 2's! Weight stool is in there. Door stool I didn't see as necessary, although Si can decide. I didn't know what smart weld was until now.

It's an SVN dump, it is the SAME THING as the SVN you posted because it hasn't been updated for ages, as LD2 etc. have stopped getting updates, you are just so afraid of it, why? It makes things easier as when the SVN for LD2 etc. could get shut down, the files will remain on glua

after much consideration, I have deceided to restart the gmod server from scratch, only install a couple of addons (wire, phx, stargate) and zip them so it is even easier for people who dont understand/cba with svn

Also... less addons means less addons to crash :D

SVN should be invisible to end users. Therefore I refuse to download it solely for the purpose of using add ons in a game.
