WHEN ARE THEESE NEW SERVERS COMING ONLINE IF THEY ARE???

im confused because one minute im told where getting new servers then the next im now??? whats happening (!)

They are trying to figure out the best possible situations for the servers. Its no use just diving in and ending up with servers crashing every 10 minutes.

Well if I'm right they want to purchase a dedicated box, which allows you to run a different amount of servers of it at the same time. Its just a matter of finding out what sort of price you want to pay, what type of hardware you want, how many servers you want it to run etc etc.

Hehe. You tend to slowly learn more and more about things without even knowing, so in a year or so perhaps you will be making suggestions

:with it being dedicated box thing does that mean who ever runs it will have to keep there comp on all the time?

Well you're on the right tracks, its just the dedicated box runs by itself. Its basically a computer with servers installed on it that will run 24/7. Well if you want it to that is.

Then again I'm still learning a lot about this kind of stuff at the moment. So I could be wrong

Yeah, we get the entire hardware at a server centre, and do what we want with it. However, we do not know what hardware we need to do what we want. And as with everything in life, it costs money, which we don't want to waste and we don't have much available to us to buy stuff with.

Well, If anyone's got a decent second machine, just install srcds_1 onto your PC, OC it, clear some disk space and leave it on.
I would be willing to, except for the fact my PC is a little unreliable.

If anyone wants to do that, I'll be happy to help them set it up. I have quite a lot of experience in these things. ^^

The problem with that is the internet connection. Si used t do it, but it lagged like hell for just a couple of players.

I have a little Ubuntu PC but it's currently my main PC until the end of August.

First off me and aaron basically know exactly what hardware we need..

Secondly it will cost lots of money.

Thirdly were better off just getting a tf2 private server and it costs us less..

Would give us the 3 servers we want
