The bots are the search crawlers. They are not registered users, the forum software registers which bot it is and tells us.

Also, this forum is pretty quiet, we need people like you to be active!

Anyway, as I have said, the bots aren't spambots, they're trawler bots, the forum software recognises the IP of the "guest" and tells us it's the Google search engine trawler bot. I've told them to come here and they come here whenever they come across a link.

These bots are tracked by their browser data (sort of like This user is running FF, but This user says is googlebot) I know this I made the settings work to distinguish between real guests and autoassigned users.

How and why would google spam, these tracker bots come from both Grim and from being redirected through links on Ratchet, I have bots read my site every 5 minutes, and I still see them using links to get to here as I read the server access logs.

It didn't matter who sent them, it's all good
