Virtual Dollars

What are they?

Virtual dollars are currency on this forum. You can use them to buy files or rights on the marketplace. You earn them for posting or selling stuff. There is also a lottery, so you can win them.

How much will I earn?

You will earn 0.5VDs per post (2 for new topic) with an extra 0.01VD per character in that post, up to a maximum of 25VDs. You will get more reward for quality posting, and if I or a moderator sees a good post, you may receive a bonus. Also, the thread starter will receive 0.3VDs for every reply (s)he gets, which means starting a good thread is very beneficial.

Can't I just spam to get VDs, then?

No, anyone who spams will have more money taken off them than they earned for their spam posts. This punishment is fair as it means spamming benefits no-one.

Why don't I earn VDs in General Banter?

Some forums have had earning disabled on them because of the nature of the forum. For example; General Banter posts are just for fun, and are mostly pointless in the greater picture. However, if you post a good post in General Banter (one that fits no-where else), you will be rewarded, so don't be discouraged from posting.
