Anybody else furious about this revelation? I certainly am. The Stig's character WAS his mystique and ambiguity . Now that you know who he really is, that's gone completely out the window.

Next Stig hopefully will be red, a nod towards Ferrari or something along the lines of he moves so fast that he's constantly hot from something physics-involving and complicated.

Eh, it's actually been known for a while, the Telegraph outed him from contracts with the BBC (his company was receiving money from the BBC related to Top Gear).

All that will happen now is he'll get the sack (he's in a massive breach of contract), just like the Black Stig. Only issue is it technically invalidates all his power lap times.

I was disappointed the BBC lost the court case. They do have a right to protect their assets and the Stig is one of them. This is a shame that he gave in to others for money or whatever. Bring on the next Stig.

he obviously didn't want to be the stig anymore - otherwise he wouldn't have revealed it himself.

Besides it was known for a long time already that it was Ben Collins so I have no idea what all this aura being ruined crap is.

Collins has a right to write an autobiography etc. and talk about his time as the stig. It would be a very interesting read.

THIS IS AN OUTRAGE. This man must live unknown. He signed his life off to the BBC and now they own him.
