This is probably the most successful Sci-Fi series ever. Infact, there has been one movie and 2 different series of Stargate (SG1 and Atlantis). In total there are 11 "seasons", each with about 20 episodes, coming to a grand total of over 220 episodes (the origional SG1 seasons had slightly more than 20 episodes).

Throughout this the SGC have gone from a tiny exploration operation being blasted by snakes to integalactic crusaders with multiple warships and fighters fighting self replicating robots and life sucking monsters.

Anyway, some random facts about Stargate;

A Google search for "Stargate" will return nearly 7 million results.

To buy all Stargate episodes on DVD at a relatively low price for boxsets would cost about ?1000.

If you were to try and download all the episodes (I am not condoning this) at 400MB per episode (usual filesize for a 45min avi file in DivX [an episode without adverts is about 45min]) would take 50 days constant on a 2mbps connection. This would still take a day on the South Korean 100mbps super connections.

Watching all the episodes ever back to back without adverts would take 7 days straight.
