BTCC means British Touring Car Championship. It is one of the best racing series in the world. Matt Neal won the title yesterday in the second race at Brands Hatch on the GP circuit. He is now the first driver to win the outright title in a privateer car. Team Halfords deserve congratulations for their exquisite car setup and driver selection.

Touring Cars is a good form of racing as they use roadworthy cars (I think they have to travel between races in their cars, but I'm not sure), meaning it has a weird factor that makes it good, probably cos it makes it more accessable and understandable for everyone else.

NO! They can take the cars in trucks! The cars are track specific. The suspension setup and engine controls are far to tough for road usage. Plus they dont have number Plates. Rally cars have to drive between stages, but not between rallies.

Right, yes, I knew that had to drive between some places.

Now a days touring cars are rubbish. They have stupid rules and amny of the best teams pulled out becasue of them!!! The best days were with the vauxhals, volvo estates, mondaeos, renault lagunas and oll of those cars. They were even alowed body contact!! That made it exciting!! But now they are rubbish.

The alpha romaeos were banned from having stupidly big wings and spoilers. Those were the days.

I have a couple of videos of the 1980's touring cars and they had ford seaira cosworths and other cool cars like that!!

Hey, its till a fantastic series. Did you not see this years BTCC races? Are you blind? the smashes, carnage racing and bashing that was going on was super! The last race champion Matt Neal raced wheel to whel with Yvan Muller and won! But only afetrlots of contct down the striaght! (and a puncture for muller....)
