Information age is good. Makes life easier, if you want to know something you just go online to Wikipedia or Google and find it, there's no having to ask around or find a relevant book. Also, there's lots of information about obscure stuff that you wouldn't find in books, like computer modding. Online communities (forums) and messengers provide a good way to keep in touch and make friends, or just discuss a certain topic or ask for help. Finally, the internet can provide lots of entertainment, such as games, videos and comics, for free.
I assumed by information age you meant the advent of internet and the like?
