Is anybody up for doing a Ludum Jam?
I don't know what language will be used, but I might be up for trying something new for then, whether it be a variant of C, or Python etc. If not It'll most likely be in Java. It will be on April 20th-23rd, and I'm definitely going to do either this, or the Ludum Dare (the rules are slightly different, and is two days rather than 3, but is a solo only thing).

Jam Rules
The Jam is our new “relaxed rules” Ludum Dare event. It takes place concurrently with the Ludum Dare Competition, but goes a little longer. To contrast the competition, here are the equivalent 5 rules:
You can work alone or in a team.
Create a game in 72 hours.
Games should be based on the theme.
All libraries, middleware, content creation, and development tools are allowed.
    Source code is not required.
If you’re working in a team, pick one member to submit and represent your game. No matter the number team members, each game is only worth 1 participant. If other team members wish to help out with the judging, ask them to play and rate other entries on your behalf.

If people are willing I would quite like to try and help with this if you're working in a team.

Do you think it's possible to write a game in C++, in under three days?

Depends on how complex it needs to be. :P

I understand how to draw stuff and so on. But in order to actually make something game-like and look reasonably polished in the time I'd say C# and XNA might be better to use.

Just being able to draw stuff won't get you very far :P
I'm going to clear some stuff from my hard drive, and install 7, and then try some XNA stuff, soon. (During the week), and see how it is! (Although XNA does seem to be the general consensus!)

Code:
<script>alert("I don't think I can contribute to this sorry :(");</script>

To decode my response, save that code in to a .html file. It's pretty sweet.

Okay, I just saved it. When I opened decoded.html.txt it didn't decode it didn't work properly. Do I need to download a compiler or an ide or something?

Try wordpad instead, that usually does everything I need.

I'll just use LaTeX, it's just downloading now. Maybe that'll be able to compile it!
