This actually worked, instead of doing nothing after I press activate, it did something M.A.G.I.C.A.L, it showed me a menu and asked if I wanted to activate over the phone, activate online or logoff and don't activate. To begin with, Harry tried activating online, thus not having human interaction but with no avail, and offered to activate via the phone. Me not wanting to get the verbal abuse from the father, decided Okay, and then a bit of human interaction wasn't too bad. So Harry picked up his phone, and called the number but then they said to re-dial with a different number... Harry did this, typed in a 9*6 installation key into the phones keypad, and then I recieved a M.A.G.I.C.A.L text which gave me a key roughly the same length, I put that in and here I am.
A great way to end a quest.
Sounds like quite the adventure you both had there.
