Hello all,

I had a bit of an adventure today, and yesterday.

My moped (Aprilia SR50 DI-Tech) broke down on me yesterday as I was coming home from work, somewhere inbetween Malvern and Bromesberrow (Castlemorton Common). It just sort of went 'Wheeeee' then came to a chugging stop.

If I tried to start it back up, it made an awful rattling noise, and smoke would pour from everywhere. So I thought that my engine was shafted. Turns out it's actually the exhaust has been ruptured.

So I rode my bike in to Ledbury (or as much as I could ride it anyway) to Lee Motorcycles so that they can fix it. They've basically told me that it'll cost me between ?60 and ?100 for a new exhaust, or less if I just get a standard replacement.

I'm gonna get me a beefy monster on the back of my ped now! All the girls and boys are gonna love me when I ride by. While they're at it I'll see if I can get new engine, bodywork, gearbox, lights, etc. (Joke)

Oh, and yes, I had to walk all the way back from Ledbury to my house, which is roughly 8 miles. Good thing I had a large parma ham, sun blushed tomato and mozarella panini to keep me going. I should have took photo's on the way back but didn't think about bringing my camera.

Lol! Thats funny. Aprillias are rubbish. They brake down all the time. Like ducati's. they spend more time in the shop than at home being ridden!
