Hmm, interesting, never even heard of GMail as another company. I hope my email won't change.

i dont think it will, anyway if you log in as *yourusername*@googlemail.com, it will still log you in as *yourusername*@gmail.com
also, if you send an email to *yourusername*@googlemail.com it will still be delivered to *yourusername*@gmail.com

I mean the oter way, will I be able to send to my gmail.com address? It will all depend on how tight this other GMail owner is.

Hmm, it seems that the company that has taken Google to court is just some git looking for some money of a major company - they didn't register the GMail name until AFTER GMail was announced. I think Google won't loose anything, except a couple of quid in this, they'll come out better than the suing company.
