1. You could probably do that with lower consoles. They have the hardware, they just need a bit of modification. It's not like a guidance system needs a supercomputer!

3. Heh, already knew that. The second most popular (AFAIK) is CSS, though XFire says that COD4 and 2 are more popular than both atm, with only WOW beating them.

1. Pokemon is the MOST successful RPG series of all time. It is also the second most successful game franchise ever, making Nintendo the most successful game publisher ever (Top, Of course, being Mario).

2. Ultima Online is the longest running PC MMORPG game. Everquest is the second longest running. Ultima has been online since 1997.

3. Over 302,000 ships were destrpyed on Eve Online during September 2007. Since May 2005, a total of 2,790,919 ships have been destroyed.

4. Stonkers beat Dune II to the punch to be the very first RTS game, it was released in 1983. However, Dune II was the first RTS to use gathering, refining and spending of resources and the first to have players produce bases and units.

5. The longest title for a strategy game in English is:

"The Lord Of The Rings: The Battle For Middle-Earth II - The Rise Of The Witch King"

Which was released in 2006. It is also thought to be the very longest English name for a game in existance.

1. Hmm, what about FF? I guess Pokemon is more sucessful as it now has mroe games, and a generally bigger fanbase.

2. Hmm, Ultima, seems right, but I'd swear there were older. Ultima is definitely the oldest "popular" one, though.

3. I expected it to be more than that, TBH, though people do like ransoming rather than destroying, more profitable.

4. I think the thing about Dune2 is it was the first to be popular, really, and it almost certainly spawned the RTS genre (it was Westwood, after all).

5. Heh, most people will just call that BFME2 (then something for the expansion). They probably didn't have much room on the box left after the text, though.
