Some of these made me laugh.

Yeah, people do stupid comparisons and stupid ratings. Luckily there are usually enough sane people to make the score decent.

Yea, on one of the ones for the original HL, the person appeared to be reviewing the orange box, and still gave a score of 0.

Some of the 0 score reviews give the impression that that person has not even played the game.

people who put 0 for any game are just generally people who havent played the game or already disliked it, probably people who are obsessed with halo and omgodz hl haz no masterrr chief it sux

Exactly True... I would never give 0 even to a game ive never played. I mean, I dont enjoy CSS, but i can see why some people like it, and would therefore give it a decent score... It annoys me when metacritic does user revies and sometimes counts them towards the actual game total...

tbh, no game would ever get 0 really. people who put 0 are those who are out on a limb to hate the game before it has already been released.

which is why i shall go on there now and give ssbb a 0 now xD

I'm guessing he double posted, lol.

Anyway, metacritic has a separate score for user reviews, and they don't count towards the main total, thankfully.

Also, people who vote low because they hate it, evidenced in Halo v HL wars. I hate Halo, but would still give Halo 1 a 5 and Halo 3 a 7, probably. I wouldn't give them low scores out of spite, I just find them over-hyped for an overall average game. People who give 0s and 1s cos they like another game more are stupid.

Dont get me wrong i really like the halo games i just prefer tf2 and such, just a few days ago i was playing halo 3 with some friends and i got me teh spartan lazaaah.
But i prefer the firs halo game because it wasnt as over hyped and also the storyline and single player gameplay if i recall was kickass

I've only ever played the first Halo, and only ever in single-player. I found it pretty good.

Halo defines mediocre PC shooters, but excellent console shooters, check halo2 sales on the PC.... yeah.

Yeah... I think with that one they were trying to boost Vista Sales... That failed epically.

Indeed it did.

In fact, according to the PCG review the PC version actually asked you to press buttons on an X-Box controller (although the keyboard buttons for the PC did work). Evidently it was rushed.
