How annoyed would you be? All you want to do is save up for a Quad-SLI machine and then all this happens!!??

About a month ago, the exhaust ruptured on my moped, so I couldn't really get anywhere because it lost compression.

So I took it to a local garage, who replaced the exhaust. But when they replaced it they also noticed that the barrel was damaged and needed replacing; we insisted that they did not need to replace it as we could get it repaired much cheaper, so they gave in to that one. Still, it cost a whopping [b:7b3d648e65]?300[/b:7b3d648e65], not including the work I asked them to do to the headlight connections, which they completely forgot.

I rode it away from the garage, and the thing barely reaches over 30mph, and goes as low as 15mph up a hill on the way back home. Needless to say, I wasn't impressed with the work that they did in the slightest.

Keep in mind that this moped used to accelerate from 0 to 60 very smoothly, and was hardly affected by small dips or gushes of wind. It used to get to a speed and stick to it, until I asked it to slow down.

So I took it back to the garage (managed to ride it there), with a note asking them to contact me. They didn't contact me. I contacted them 1 week later and they told me that work had been completed and that it would cost me ?30, which I thought was reasonable.

This time, my dad came with me to pick it up to say that we're not really too happy about paying, considering the extortionate amount that we paid last time that resulted in the moped coming out worse than it went in. We tested the moped and it seemed to work much better (acceleration wise) over a short distance of about 50m. I paid up and went home.

On the way home, it went much faster, topping about 70mph. Then I got to a hill and it went down to about 30mph. Never mind.

I rode to my girlfriends house later that day, and went back on it the day after, and it seemed to be running a bit better.

I rode it to work on Monday and it went well all the way, not really many complaints apart from it going very slow up a hill again. Then rode it back from work to my girlfriends house, and I had absolutely no problems riding it there.

When it came to riding it home though, I got about 100m down the road and it spluttered, coughed and stalled. It wouldn't move even on full throttle. Managed to get a blowlamp to the spark plug and it coughed and spluttered but eventually got me home (after 3 hours of trying).

Stayed at home on Tuesday because I had a bad throat.

Wednesday morning, today, saw me ride in to work without too many problems apart from a bit of coughing and spluttering at the beginning of my journey, and going slow uphill again. Now, I just left work at 4pm, and managed to get about half a mile down the road when it just broke down. Now it won't even move again. I'm stuck at work and I've got no way of getting this thing to a garage unless it gets picked up.

I'm getting picked up soon...

I'm thinking of calling up the waste disposal services, or advertising this on ebay with the following description:

"Aprilia SR50 DiTech, in desperate need of caring owner, will be left outside Arjo Med AB Ltd., St Catherine Street, Gloucester, GL1 2SL on a regular basis - please feel free to collect. ?10 *offered* for collection or suitable destruction/disposal."

I'm not joking, the past month's antics have been a complete fork-up. Maybe I should continue driving lessons with Dan's dad after all. It's been a few months since I last went. Get myself a smart car, they're efficient.

I know yu're not joking, therefore you're not having much luck. Maybe a car would be good.

Except for everything to do with it, yes. I'm not one to drive around in a flashy car, a banger would do me fine, but it needs to do over 65mpg.
