ctf_(undecided on name as of yet)

I haven't done much to it and i have no media as of yet but it is going to be a CTF style map (might possibly convert it to CP aswell).

So far it is a big valley with a (very) long shaft in the middle, sniper ledges at either end and a long tunnel underneath.

I'll keep you posted with further updates :)

i think im gonna give up actually... it is way too big, i'm not very good at it, my water doesnt work, my skybox is <LOOK MA I'M SWEARING> up and i just can't be bothered...

I'll probably end up getting it done after a long time because i only end up goin on hammer when i'm really bored...

and with all the awsome games coming out (e.g. L4D!!! >< ) i don't think i'll be getting bored too easily.

Just start out simple.

TF2 skybox texture list:

http://developer.valvesoftware.com/wiki ... erials.gcf

Make sure you use the tools skybox texture for the walls where you want it.

Make it as small as possible, as you do not notice the size when playing.

I'd like to have a go at a TF2 map.

Ready?

OK.

I'm having a go at cp_steel for being too bloody complicated!

I'm having a go at cp_steel for epic fail- too complicated, not enough signs to help you around and it sounded good but turned out to be not as good :/
I'm gonna try my own TF2 map making skills near xmas sometime.... may be a map based on steel but won't be filled with epic fail ;)

But Steel is awesome.

Anyway, this is a bit off topic.

To set your map skybox, whilst Hammer is running, click on the map button (top menu) and select Map Properties.

There's an entry where you can set the skybox name.

What's wrong with your water?
